Andreas Wilhelm actually wanted to be a goldsmith, to have creative job. But, his occupational advisor was of the opinion that training to be a laboratory technician would be the better choice. As a result, Andreas Wilhelm started an apprenticeship with Givaudan in 1993. This was subsequently followed by three years of training in basic perfumery research, a change to the fragrance manufacturer Luzi AG, and further training to become a professional perfumer. During this period of his career, his appreciation for aesthetics and creativity became ever more important – not for jewellery, but all the more for fragrances.
In 2009, Wilhelm founded his own company - Wilhelm Perfume GmbH. Today, Andreas Wilhelm works with his team in Zurich, Switzerland and develops fragrance creations which tell a new story over and over again.
And he is now very grateful for the advice which his occupational advisor once gave him.
